BACKWARDS & FORWARDS, WE FLOAT ON: listening and moving together
A community movement session by Julie Tolentino
All are invited to join at 3pm for out-of-doors meditative, sensory exploration via listening, walking and balloons. Yes, free balloons for all!
AUGH! will be performing Movement Ear Lung! a site-activated interpretive composition performed through Elana Mann’s Listening as (a) movement interactive horn sculptures.
AUGH! is an exclamation. AUGH! is 5 billion years from no. AUGH! is a test. AUGH! is a fraying. AUGH! is a new performance project by Rob Ray.
Rob Ray makes site-specific and publicly situated electronic installations, psychogeographic games and experimental sounds and videos. He also collaborates with Jason Soliday and Jon Satrom as a member of the circuit-bent multimedia noise trio I Love Presets and is the visual arts editor for the online journal Drunken Boat. From 1999 to 2008, Rob was founder and head curator of the DEADTECH electronic arts center in Chicago, IL, USA.
Come and celebrate the closing of Listening as (a) movement with participants and community partners. Light refreshments will be served.
